This picture is a medium shot because it shows mostly the tree, but you can also see the sun and sky in the background. This is a low angle since you are looking up at the tree from the ground. This is also a silloute, meaning it is lit from behind. I think that the fact that it is a silloutte creates a mood of happiness because without that source of light, the picture would be very dark. I think the low angle makes the sun look powerfull and also it helps the viewer understand how tall the tree is. I think this picture shows the sun rising and shows how much of an impact the sun makes on the things around us. For example, the tree wouldn't be as big without the sun.
this might be the most entrancing photo i have ever seen. I like the fire red color contrasting with the blue. This gives me a ying yang feeling, like warm and cold at the same time.
Wow! Kenski-ski! This picture is really cook. I really like what brian said about the "ying-yang" contrast between color, and the feeling of warm and cold with the read and blue colors. The medium shot you used is really interesting becasuae the tree branches take up most of the shot, but you still get an interesting image is in backround. I picture people laying underneath the tree at sunrise. Juat laying there on the grass, feeling happy.
I like how you used the light of the sun. Since the tree is backlit, it is a silhouette. The low angle makes the viewer feel like they are looking up at the sun from under the tree. The lack of light in the picture, and the color of the sky create a calm, relaxed mood. I like how the medium shot shows the tree branches but still your eye is completely focused on the tree in the background.
The light and dark contrast and the use of shadows (the view is illuminated in the eyes of the photographer) gives an idea that we are seeing two things at once. The dark represents night or dark times while the light symbolises that even in the darkest of times, light can still shine through on us.
